• Introduction

    The Social Innovation and Change Making track within the K4B program integrates Social Entrepreneurship, Community Development, Impact Assessment, and Public Policy and Advocacy to equip students with the skills and knowledge to create innovative solutions that address social challenges and drive meaningful change. This interdisciplinary track prepares students to lead social ventures, engage with communities for sustainable development, assess the impact of social initiatives, and influence public policy for social good. Coursework covers key areas such as developing and scaling social enterprises, fostering community-based development, conducting impact assessments to measure social outcomes, and advocating for policy changes that support social innovation. The program emphasizes rigorous quizzing practices, including real-world social enterprise projects, impact assessment simulations, and public policy analysis exercises to ensure practical understanding and application of social innovation principles. Upon successful completion, students receive a Specialization Certificate in Social Innovation and Change Making, accompanied by a detailed Courses Grade Report and a General Grade. Additionally, students are awarded Course-Specific Certificates in areas such as Social Entrepreneurship, Community Development Strategies, Impact Assessment for Social Change, and Public Policy and Advocacy for Social Innovation. These certifications validate their expertise, enhancing employability in sectors such as social enterprise, community development, impact investing, and policy advocacy.
