This interdisciplinary track equips students with the skills to innovate in food production, optimize food preservation techniques, apply biotechnology for food development, and ensure environmentally sustainable practices. Coursework covers advanced food science technologies, postharvest food preservation, nutritional science for health and wellness, biotechnology applications in food, and the environmental impact of food systems. The program emphasizes rigorous quizzing practices, including project-based food innovation assessments, nutritional analysis exercises, and scenario-based sustainability challenges to ensure comprehensive understanding and practical application of food science and nutrition concepts. Upon successful completion, students receive a Specialization Certificate in Food Science and Nutrition Innovation, accompanied by a detailed Courses Grade Report and a General Grade. Additionally, students are awarded Course-Specific Certificates in areas such as Food Science and Postharvest Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Biotechnology for Food Innovation, and Environmental Sustainability in Food Systems. These certifications validate their expertise, enhancing employability in sectors such as food production, nutrition consultancy, biotechnology, and environmental management in the food industry.
