• Introduction

    The Smart Grid and Energy Management track within the K4B program integrates Electrical and Computer Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, Energy Policy and Management, and Industrial Automation and Robotics to prepare students for cutting-edge roles in modern energy systems and smart grid technologies. This interdisciplinary track equips students with the skills to design, implement, and manage smart grid infrastructure, integrate renewable energy sources, develop energy policies, and apply automation technologies to enhance energy efficiency. Coursework covers electrical systems engineering, renewable energy integration, energy policy development, and the automation of energy grids for optimal performance. The program emphasizes rigorous quizzing practices, including scenario-based energy management projects, smart grid simulations, and hands-on automation tasks to ensure comprehensive understanding and practical application of energy management technologies. Upon successful completion, students receive a Specialization Certificate in Smart Grid and Energy Management, accompanied by a detailed Courses Grade Report and a General Grade. Additionally, students are awarded Course-Specific Certificates in areas such as Smart Grid Systems, Renewable Energy Technology, Energy Policy and Management, and Industrial Automation for Energy Systems. These certifications validate their expertise, enhancing employability in sectors such as energy management, smart grid technology, renewable energy, and industrial automation.
